The Medical Reception course covers a host of subjects that are critical to becoming an efficient member of a health administration team, including:

The learning outcomes achieved provide participants with four nationally accredited Units of Competency for:

• BSBMED301 Interpret and apply medical terminology appropriately
• BSBMED302 Prepare and process medical accounts
• BSBMED303 Maintain patient records
• BSBMED305 Apply the principles of confidentiality, privacy and security within the medical environment

These units of competency can be used for Credit Transfers if you choose to continue your studies with us, including for the popular BSB30120 – Certificate III in Business (Medical Administration).

The WA State Government's Job Reconnect program is designed to assist mature-aged workers (over 45yo) to attain paid employment.

As part of the program, courses such as the Medical Reception course may be offered to candidates free of charge. In addition, recruitment support and job placement services would also be offered. There is no cost associated with being part of the Job Reconnect program with eligibility requirements being that participants are WA residents, over 45 years of age and have not been in paid employment for the past three months.
