Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (AMA Members)

This 3-hour course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the medical industry and employers

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

This course is free for all current full fee-paying AMA(WA) members. Student members will be required to pay $85.

Duration: 3 hours (9am – 12pm)

Location: AMA Training Centre – 10 Stirling Highway, Nedlands

  • Assessing the situation and responding to the signs of an unconscious casualty
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation following ARC guidelines
  • Defibrillator awareness

 

Assessment
Students must complete a quiz and a practical scenario displaying the CPR skills they have learnt in a simulated situation.

The learning outcomes of this unit provide the participant with a nationally recognised Unit of

Competency:

  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.  Valid for 12 months from date of issue.
