Medical Terminology Unit

This 2-day course provides a comprehensive overview of common medical terminology principles and applications.

The course forms part of the popular 6-day Medical Reception course and has been specifically developed by the Australian Medical Association (WA) to meet industry requirements.

This course can be completed via our virtual classroom sessions or in your own time via our engaging Assisted Self Directed (ASD) online delivery for regional or interstate students.

Persons interested in becoming proficient in medical terminology for use within either a general practice, specialist area or hospital environment.

Regional and interstate students can still receive the benefits of this sought after unit by completing it online, using AMA Training Services' unique and engaging Assisted Self Directed (ASD) online delivery.

With this mode of study you will have up to six months to complete the same modules as those completed in the classroom. You will have access to the same learning resources as are given to classroom students. To assist you, each module has a number of pre-recorded video sessions of about 15-25 minutes in length each (viewed easily online from any device). These sessions cover the same content, by the same trainer, as the classroom delivery, including engaging demonstrations, tips, tricks and industry insights.

Students will also have access to AMA Training Services' online learning environment with an active discussion board, FAQs and links to further reading.

You will have access to a qualified trainer for any questions and support.

The online course has been carefully developed to ensure we offer flexibility without compromising quality.
